When the Internet was first growing up, it was primarily a research tool. As people got more familiar with it, it also became a fun place of recreation. And then the inevitable happened; people learned how to make money using this same tool. Hey, as long as everyone else it making money on the Web, you might as well join them. One of the best ways to do so is through blogging. You can easily make money blogging by using the following three techniques.
One good method: The Flagship Method. Under this approach to blogging, you create and maintain only a few blogs. That’s because you’ll need to spend a huge number of hours each week, as well as a lot of energy, on turning these blogs into true destinations for your visitors. You need to do all you can to create sites within popular niches and then to turn them into the best sites available online pertaining to those topics. The goal is to achieve large numbers of visitors per day.
Of course, the reason this method is not more popular is precisely because of the amount of effort required in it – in return for little to no immediate results. Building a truly profitable flagshop blog takes time.
Still, once the blog takes off, the monetary (and emotional) rewards are plenty. You will have created a true destination site on the Web, and it will have lots of options for bringing in money. One of the most significant monetization options is direct advertising sales.
Flagship blogging doesn’t work for everyone, though. Only those who have detailed knowledge of a popular topic, as well as the networking and marketing skills necessary, should attempt this method. Otherwise, you might spend all of that time for naught.
Another popular method that many people use to make money online via blogging is known as the pay-per-post blogging method. Under this technique, you set up many more blogs than with the flagship method. These can either be on your own domain or with free blog host sites such as WordPress or Blogger. You then maintain all of these blogs for a span of time, focusing on creating content and building up each one’s Google PageRanks, link profiles and Alexa Ranks.
You also expend a good amount of energy and time submitting these blogs to pay-to-blog sites like Review Me, Blogitive, Blogsvertise, Sponsored Reviews, PayperPost and LoudLaunch. Then start writing sponsored posts which are really paid advertisements that sell products in the form of a blog post.
Of course, the drawback is that there’s no passive income. It’s essential to spend time creating many sponsored blog posts, which you might find boring and/or time-consuming.
A third method of generating money from your blogging is through a technique called automated blogging. Using this method, you simply set up a blog and then run itself. Specifically, you set it up so that it’s drawing content from RSS feeds, news sources and search engines. These should ideally pertain to a focused topic. The benefit here is that there’s little up-keep required by you after the site is set up. The downside is that there’s also very little income that is normally generated – normally just a few dollars a month.
Try one, two, or even all three of these methods. You probably won’t get rich blogging, but once you hit the right combination, you can enhance your income quite nicely.
