I adore it when franchises and corporations offer free food. Being a male, the easiest way into a man’s heart is his stomach. And so when any bistro offers a Buy 1 Get 1 Free main meal voucher or a free starter when a main is purchased, I am all ears. And you know why? The economy. It is going down the drain but I still need to eat. So filling up my stomach on the minimum amount of money is really a win-win situation for everybody.

It’s not just eateries and cafes that are providing cooked meals during this time of economic crisis, it is also companies that make preserved food which I don’t mind. Now my favourite is a free Welch’s fruit snacks sample that’s available. Sure they may not be healthy but if it’s free and it’s in moderation then I do not have an issue with it.

The wonderful thing is that firms are continually offering free samples of their food to encourage new patronage into their stores. Group buying corporations like Groupon and Living Social have made this concept popular and nearly a way of life especially as many continue to battle to put food on the table and keep a roof over their heads.

If you’ve got access to a computer and the Internet, then you are pretty much set to get all of the coupons you want to get free or significantly discounted food. Just jump onto websites like freebiesblogger.com or moneysavingmom.com for their updated blog entries that help you save money which includes posts on the latest food freebies.

Alternatively you can do your own search using Google. Just type in free food into the search and results that come up will astonish you. Not only will you find results that give the offers directly to you but many blogs that help out with savings will also pop up and provide invaluable info and tips.
